For Ellie – Some rose characters for her story

Ellie wrote a wonderful story about a rose who had written a scary story. I thought she might like a graphic of a rose character for story. She has three colour versions to choose from.

Schools and students have permission to use these graphics for non-commercial, educational purposes.

    Dear Mr. Mannell,

Thanks for the reply. I cherish your post about my story. I couldn’t give you my link to my blog because I don’t have a blog. If I had a blog I would give you a link.

I treasure the blue flower the most because blue is my favorite color and it looks glorious. Which flower do you like the most?

    Sincerely,
    ♥Ell♥e♥

      Dear ♥Ell♥e♥,

I’m glad you liked the drawings. I normally draw them i n pencil first then go over in black ink. Once done, I scan the drawing and use Photoshop to add colour. My favourite colour is blue also.

Around my area, there are many plants as my town is surrounded by three national parks and a nature reserve. I am often out taking photos of scenes, animals and plants. I have many favourites because the flowers tend to bloom at different times of the year.

I will see if I can add a post to this blog to show you some of the flowers I’ve photographed .

      Ross 🙂

    Dear Mr. Mannell,

Thanks for the reply. I have lots of flowers in my back yard. Here are all the colors of them: Purple, white, yellow, red, green, orange, brown, lavender, and gold. Here are some of the plants in my backyard: Rosemarie, Lavender, Sage, 3 dwarf citrus trees, and 3 Sequoias.

I would love to see your pictures of your flowers. I will send Mrs. Yollis a picture of the day, and it would be the most beautiful flower in my yard.

    Sincerely,
    ♥Ell♥e♥

      Dear ♥Ell♥e♥,

And for something a little different, have you thought about fungi (like mushrooms and toadstools)? I also photograph fungi. You could almost imagine the Smurfs or fairies around with some. Here is the link for some local fungi I photographed…

Fungi appears after rain when it’s warm but they don’t last long. Within days of taking these photos, almost all had gone.

    Ross,
What a nice idea to make extended comments to students. The photos of the family farm are beautiful. It’s neat to see what happened when the Holsteins were moved away.

Thanks again for all you do for the children in the blogosphere!
